Moon Johyun | Illustrator & Character Creator

Moon Johyun | Illustrator & Character Creator

I have loved nature and drawn imaginary friends since I was a

child.Even now, I continue to create illustrations that bring warmth to the world with a childlike heart.

I began my career as a character designer for MBC’s children’s program,

and for more than 30 years, I have been telling emotional and heartwarming stories

through unique characters and picture books.

Inspired by the beauty of nature and the environment around us,

I portray small beings hidden within it — tiny friends with big stories to share.

These stories come to life as characters, picture books, and products

that deliver joy and comfort to both children and adults around the world.

Through picture books, editorial design, character licensing,

product development, and spatial branding,

I strive to bring happiness into everyday life —

and that is the true purpose behind my creative work.

Abikkabi Kobikkabi

ABIKKABI KKOMA DOKKAEBI

"Abi Kkabi Kkoma Dokkabi"

This story was inspired by a simple question:

"What kind of fairies might live in the forests of Korea?"

I remember laughing a lot because he asked me to draw a baby Enfant because he wanted to draw a child who smiles brightly. I had to smile to draw that kind of appearance. ^^ I made the baby Enfant while smiling a lot. I tried to draw a cute child with a positive yet strong impression. It was a fun time.
